Where does the short grab rail come from I see on so many of the bikes??  I want to replace the tall one with the passenger back rest mounted on it with one of those short ones.

Yep, those are what I was looking for,, although $75 seems a bit high for what it is,,, I may have to bend something up, and chrome it in a bucket. Actually, as I think about it, I have some chrome tubing about the right size I will look at, see what I can do.

Just call me cheap but $75 is just to much for that grab rail. I just took off the brackets for the back rest.

So did Frank Smoak... and it looks great. His is curved, a perfect arc, instead of being
angular.

Gavin Sons got me a pc of SS and I made it from it . Its 1"x 3/16" stock . I had to trim both sides to fit down on rails but I think it looks better than some of the purchased 1s because its wider . I made this one flat , no arch ,radius or otherwise  and its very strong . It wont bend accidently anyway . Takes alot of polishing but well worth it . Im cheap too !

Yeah, I could see how it was cut to fit the brackets,,, what did you use to bend the bar?

the 1 in the pics I sent you I just put in a vise and pulled while hitting with a 2 pound sledge . but the 1 I'm making now I used a torch to heat it and it worked better and got a tighter angle . the bluing from the torch  polished  right out no problem . Cutting , or grinding the excess material from both sides to fit between the rails is the real work . Drilling it is a chore also . But all in all they look decent and make changing from passenger seat to solo a breeze . I used a 1/4 " die grinder and buffing pads to do most of the polishing then finished up with different grades of sandpaper with 600 being the finest .
