Just installed the Convoy/Death Proof Duck on my ride. Anybody in the Canon City, Colorado area or just passing thru perhaps we could go for a ride. You Brother Mason's check out the license plate. how would one get red LED lights in the eyes of the duck? Would you need a relay for it?
Now it's technical.

I don't think anyone understands what made you get your panties in a wad, if it was due to Moonshots post, your thread should have been on the General Board and not the Technical. I personally saw no reason for you to get upset. I, myself, have been corrected on this board and do not have a real thin skin and took no offense. You will not find a greater, more knowledgeable or more helpful bunch than the guys here.

Well there we go with some positive reply's I thought you all got the Technical aspect of Black being the fastest color, but when strip down a black 99 tourer making it a solo seat "bagger" and adding a cigar smoking angry duck to the front fender welllll then you have a "balls to the wall" fast Valkyrie! Sorry for any offence, got to go put a brisket in the smoker!

We are all basically friendly around here, especially us Brothers. Just a lot of jokesters. Got to say the duck is original. BTW, you can modify your original post and correct the first image by moving ']http://' near the end of the line after '[img' at the start.
Another PM.

I'm not sure the duck adds to the areodynamics of the valk, but your right about the color (or absence thereof) being the fastest...... BTW 'deathproof' great movie

I like the duck. I'd like to have a bad azz 55 stovebolt to put it on. With my shaved head and long beard I scare enough youg uns as it is-me and the duck would be good fer a LOT of nightmares. And yup-liked the movie. RIDE SAFE.

I think yer too far ahead of the game around here with DD all the rage. Hey, I love the duck, that's a fact, Jack! I don't think two led's will need a relay, no more juice than they would pull.

This actually started on the Tech page.
Someone made a comment on the tech page about the Duck not being the stuff for the tech page. That post has now disappeared. But while it was on there, I commented about getting red LED's in the eyes of the Duck so it would now indeed qualify for the pages of the tech board.
Then everything got moved to the Gen. Board except the post questioning the validity of the Ducks technical aspects, to which I STILL contend would look awesome with red LED eyes making it, indeed a technical issue.

I think a goose would have looked REALLY fast... oh well. The red LEDs might make up for it being a duck instead of a goose.

I have a technical question about the tank ornament. The Valkyrie lettering is silver on a black background and stands out nicely. The tank emblem on my 2001 Valkyrie Standard is all silver and the word "Valkyrie" is hard to read. Why is this?

Wildwood. used to be called "north hog county", rivals of "south hog county" or the county seat of Bushnell where I grew up. Bushnell was the big town, one blinking light and lots of farmers and cattle ranchers. I did go hog hunting as a kid. was glad to leave.

not meaning to piss anyone off, but, to put red LED's in the eyes of the duck you would need two LED's (one for each eye) in series with a 50 ohm resistor. wire it into your running lights, no relay required. dependant on the type and size of the LED, some pull more or less current and voltage. if you're really really serious i can hook you up...... i know a little (very little) about LED's..... here's my cycle (there are about 200 2mm LED'S on it);

I like the duck on that bike. Nope, not going to put one on mine but, I like it on that bike. It's different, unique and cool. I'm not that cool. I also like the red LED idea but, it I was gonna do that, I'd want the eyes to flash with the turn signals. Yeah, I know, it's never good enough. Love the pig! Again, I think it would look great on MP's fast black. Just not my style but, still cool. If anyone finds a chrome Jack Ass, let me know. Most folks I know would say it's the only thing I need to add. Obviously, it's related to my internal fortitude, determination, pleasent personality, work ethic and all the good things that beast of burden is known for. I think.

Don't forget the ice cold beer that is required while cooking outdoors. Helps take the edge off And YES! Black IS the fastest color
