What is the best thing to wrap baffles with on COBRA 6/6 pipes. Just got finished ceramic coating them and want to tone them down a little. Undecided

Stainless steel wool will last the longest.  Google it, you'll find it in various quantities both for retail or for resale, and intended for packing exhausts.

Wrapping them with the material of your choice helps. If you'd like to go quieter size a freeze plug to the baffle and then drill a 3/4" hole in it. Makes quite a difference.

I bought some wrap for my Cobra's several years ago and could'nt get them to fit back in after the wrap. Just one layer and they would'nt fit back in.

I'd love to do my Vikings. How in the world did you get your baffles out? Carbon has mine stuck in there so I can only move them about 1/4" before they stop. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

yes they are a problem getting apart and mine where not carboned up, basically new since I just had the tubes re-chromed and only put about 200-300 miles on them before the repack.
I used some heat on the inside of the exhaust tube to expand it, then pj baster and used a large pair of channel locks to twist and pull them out. then I worked on the end flange which is what hangs up in there, by filing, bending, and banging so that there was a smooth transition in and out.
The packing deepened the sound during cruise and overall made them quieter than the org packing

I used Fly Racing silencer packing  Pro Pack 05-0002 in my Cobras, it help'd some but still not quite what I wanted. I might try adding the suggested freeze plugs and see how that sounds.

if the baffles have the saw tooth appearance reversing the pattern whereas the tooth is into the flow will quiet it down.

I had to actually make a hook to fit a small body-slide hammer to tap the baffles out of mine.
