So I've just finished day 3. Four of us left Richardson Saturday morning at 7. We rode the first day to El Paso. I found out that my tour tank install had a flaw. But that will be another post later. Long story short I fuel filter.  Ok, back to day one, it was hot! But we got lucky and didn't have high winds. Day 2 we rode to Yuma AZ, again HOT and again lucky no real wind. Today we ate breakfast and hit the road and it was already mid 90s at 8am. Crossed the California boarder and here comes the high winds through the dunes, luckily it only lasted for 45 miles and then settled down. The ride over the coastal mountains into an Diego was amazing. We had lunch on Coronado Island then road coastal roads upto oceanside then to San Clemente, where we're staying the night.

Tomorrow we will take highway 1 to Santa Monica, then take Santa Monica Blvd through Hollywood and up to griffith observatory then back to highway 1 and as far north as we can get. We'll ride the Pacific coast highway to Eureka then over the mountains to Mt Lasen and then to lake Tahoe, ride around the west side of the lake. Then down to Yosemite, then if we have time Kings canyon, then Barstow and run home on Highway 40.

I'll try to post some pics along the way.

Ride update.. So on the fuel filter, another rider had to stop at the local Harvey shop to have a wobble checked out, so I asked mechanic to clean my fuel for and I pulled the housing off and installed it the right way, it's been performing great since LA!

So we rode the Pacific coast highway from San Diego all the way to Eureka, a bit windy but otherwise awesome riding. So yesterday we road over the coastal mountains then over mt Lassen. We have lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and Kings Canyon left, we'll be home Saturday night.

The gallery has been updated so go check it out!

Here's a teaser

Ride update! Got home Saturday at 4:35pm. We got delayed about 4 hours in Gallup NM, one of the Harley Riders (with spoked rims/tube tire) took a drill bit in the back tire. The local Gallup Yamaha dealer, Desert Cycle, took good care of us and got us back on the road by Noon as promised. We discovered the flat tire first thing in the morning when we were fueling up to leave.

So, I've updated my photo gallery with all of the ride photos that I'm posting on it. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

(there are multiple pages of photos, so make sure you see them all  Cool )
