Horn Problems - Please Help

I bought a Wolo Bad Boy Air Horn. I unplugged the original horn from the factory wiring, and plugged the factory wiring directly to the new Wolo. I tested and the horn worked. I then extended 2 wires from the original points of connection to the new location.

I tested and got nothing. I disconnected the extension wiring I made, and connected the original horn (set everything back to the way it was before I began the project), and still cannot get the horn to sound. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box located under the right side cover and found them to be okay.

Upon looking at the installation of the new horn location I realized that the two connections on the bottom of the horn may have been in contact with a chrome shield at the same time.

Did I fry something? Is there another fuse located elsewhere? Did I damage a relay?

Stop/turn/Horn are all on the same fuse.. if you have the stop light or turn signals the fuse is ok.
you may have burnt out the horn switch. The original leads to the horn should be hooked up to trigger a relay (you add), which in turn will send power from battery to horn.

Yep, you need a relay to install with the horn and a voltmeter (or at a minimum a test lamp) to determine what happened.

The horn button and wiring are not heavy enough for the new horn.

Use the voltmeter to determine whether you still have voltage at the old horn wires.  If not, you will need to find what is not working.

You can test the horn by hooking up some 14 gauge or better wires directly to the horn and touch them to a car battery.

I agree with the others that you need a relay but did you cross the wires?
I have the same horn mounted on the swing arm. I disconnected it when I added a lift adapter.  When I reconnected it I screwed it up.  Simple fix.  I already had a relay installed.

Update. I must have been seeing only red with anger at the time, because I double checked the fuse and found it to be blown. Installed the relay provided (duh) and all works. Just have to mount the new relay route all the new wires, and put her back together again.

At least you didn`t hurt anything. And you can be the knucklehead today, I usually have that designation most other days.
