I noticed my right Air Wing was starting to flap so when I got home I took a close look.  The pod was cracked along the top where the wing was attached.  I took the large deflector off and just left the adjustable wing on; the amount of wind noise and air that the deflector was eliminating is amazing.  The heat bubble I rode in is reduced but it has been replaced with lots of wind noise and buffeting.

Finding a replacement pod is going to be a real pain.

No, the pods sit on either side of the radiator and direct the hot air away from the rider and on some bikes they also contain the fog lights.

Are you sure they direct the hot air away? Grin

Yes... the pods do.  I didn't realize how much air the Baker Air Wings were directing away from me which was causing me to sit in a hot bubble.  With the deflectors gone, the bubble is gone, which allows more air to flow.  The down side is more air noise and buffeting.  I had forgotten what it was like having a constant blast of air hitting me because my bubble was quiet and tranquil (but HOT).

I'll be setting up an automated eBay search for a right-side pod; I want my hot bubble back when winter arrives.  For now I'll be enjoying the cooler, noisier, ride.

There's a good right pod on a black and red Interstate at the salvage yard down the road from me.  I bought one from him a couple of years ago for $200.

If the part that cracked is the one I think it is that piece is only about $157 from HDL.
