Heat Pump Control Wiring Diagram Help

Can one of you HVAC experts provide a wiring diagram which shows the interface wiring between the thermostat and heat pump unit which includes the outside fan, compressor, inside fan, aux. heat and reversing valve controls. Maybe you can provide a link where I can find a wiring diagram like this on line.
I think I have a thermostat problem and would like to verify that the heat pump components are all functioning before buying a new thermostat.
Here's wiring I have at the thermostat.
R - Red wire.
C - Blue wire.
Y - Yellow wire.
E - Brown wire.
W2 - White wire.
O - Orange wire.
G - Green wire.
Nothing on terminals - L, X1, X2, B.
TIA for your help.

No where near the information anyone would need to help you even if they wanted to...... Maybe the model numbers of your units and the problems you are having,,, then probably posted to a HVAC forum,,,, but maybe someone here would pipe in if they had the right info, wiring diagrams will be specific for your model and make,,, Google it and see what you get.

The wiring can and is usually dependant upon the equipment you have. If you have a traditionally split residential system, there most likely is wiring diagrams/schematics somewhere on the access panels. Usually on the inside. A split system is where you have an indoor fan coil and a separate outdoor unit. Those terminals on your thermostat can be different depending on the brand as well. Here are the more traditional purposes for those terminals.
R is where the 24 vac power coming from a transformer, usually located in the fan coil/ air handler. It is the low voltage supply line that is switched by the thermostat to send back to your equipment for the purpose of energizing the various components.
C is the common wire to the 24 vac off the transformer needed to complete power supply for most non battery powered thermostats or indicator lights on a thermostat.
Y is the terminal that energizes the compressor circuit.
E is usually used for Emergency heat operation, powering electric resistance heating elements when you select emergency heat.
W2 usually is powering auxiliary heat, such as electric heating elements when the heat pump compressor circuit fails to meet the heating demand.
O powers the reversing valve, this is one that can vary as to whether your equipment uses this in heating or cooling. Most common is for it to power the reversing valve in the cooling mode. This way if the reversing valve fails,it fails to the heating position.
G powers the indoor fan circuit.
What are your symptoms?
