I've had a great time in the past coming to Inzane. Unfortunately, I couldn't make last years, and I wasn't sure I could make it this year. I decided to look into it, albeit late, and was really surprised to read the horrible reviews about the ground zero Days Hotel. I like to stay at ground Zero, and was truly disappointed when I learned the specifics.  Maybe next year.

I dunno...in my experience folks that had a good experience rarely post reviews....

It's not the hotel...but the people there that are gonna make Inzane fun...

The room is to sleep in, that's it...

My son went to school in LaCrosse and I've stayed at the GZ hotel (maybe 5 years ago).  Not 'Ritz Carlton' fancy, but again, you will be spending very little time in the room.

There are tires to kick, rides to go on, new friends to meet, clinics on how to work on the Fat Girl, bike rodeo, events to attend, and if yer up to it, an adult beverage or two to consume...  In other words, don't miss out on a great week of fun and riding, because of a bad review of the host hotel.  As Daniel mentioned, not too many folks write reviews if the place they were at met expectations.  Heck, if someone were to look at some of the comments about our Valks, I'm sure they would be fearing a flaming death from a leaking PetCock, broken valve stem, grenaded U-Joint, or exploding differential...  Again, the bad stuff gets talked about.

You won't regret attending  Wink

I'm looking forward to my 10th InZane  cooldude

You are not coming because of the motel reviews?

I have stayed in places where the reviews, many of them, said it was HORRIBLE.  DIRTY.  Full of bugs, etc.

When I got there, my room was perfectly clean, and a nice place.

I tell you, I do NOT trust reviews at all.

I think some want to pay $60 for a room, and are very upset if it is not a $200 room!  And then write a bad review.

Like others have already stated-you will be sleeping in the room. There is TOO damn much to do. Last year my brother(da prez)and I had early breakfasts and late suppers. And even in that heat we stayed outside having COLD adult beverages and just chewin the fat with the other riders.  cooldude I was in the Navy and until you having aircraft landing on yer roof----  2funny RIDE SAFE.

I might post a "disappointed" review if I don't get to experience at least one of these at -- or near -- ground zero...

Days Inn isn't the only motel in town.....when I checked there was no vacancy.
So I went searching, just a few miles away is Settle Inn, and the reviews are good.
Just sayin'.  there's always options.

Surely can't be any worse than that old convention center we used in Paduca Kentucky for one of the past Inzanes. I remember how dirty it was and the lousy service. I also remember people getting stuck in elevators and someone using a broom handle to pry the doors open. It all seems kind of funny now looking back on it. Still had a good time but it was a terrible place.

Well, I think you made a big mistake if you did not go.

The hotel had older but very clean rooms, the air conditioners worked extremely well, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food in the restaurant was decent, & the bar prices were reasonable. Plus, the hotel was set up very nicely for our event with the central courtyard for kicking tires and telling lies and plenty of parking all around the building.

With the one exception of an inept banquet manager, the stay was as good as I've had for a large event.

I had to leave early because of a family emergency. We arrived early on Sunday ,  were greeted and had already met several sisters and brothers. The hotel was clean and cool. The staff I talked to was very friendly and buisness like.
I had to leave early on a family emergency , and they checked me out and  charged me only for the night we stayed . They had a list of people waiting for ground zero.
We would go back there again. It was as good or better than Best Western last year in Ureka Springs.

Those that stayed there might consider writing a review. I will!

Very happy with the room the service and the staff. I have paid more for a room and gotten way less than I had at ground zero. A/C was excellent the food not bad drinks weren't too spendy and all in all had a good time. I would stay at Days Inn even if there wasn't a motorcycle thingy going on. IF IF IF IF I let the reviews direct which movie I watch which car I purchase which clothes I wear-well hellz bellz I wouldn't get a frikkin thing done any day at all. You can ask to see your room before ya plunks done yer loot.  2funny And that goes from mom and pop places to 5 and 6 star hotels motels resorts and bed and breakfasts ANYWHERE.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

I tell you, I do NOT trust reviews at all.

MP

I travel a lot and use Trip Advisor reviews to decide where to go.
I read a few of the worst reviews. I browse the best reviews.
I judge the validity of both--if the bad review seems whiney I toss it, if the good review seems like it was written by the hotel manager I toss it.
I usually check about 15-20 reviews per hotel.
Works for me.

All I know is that a number of places I stayed, have a number of really bad reviews.  I mean BAD.  You would think they slept in the town garbage dump.  Yet, I had no problems.  Clean.  Decent.  They are older places, but I knew that.

I think some people go to a $50 Mom and Pop, and when it is not just like a $500 a night Hilton, they are PO'd.

Or, maybe my standards are really low!   uglystupid2

Mel we both drive/drove truck. Lotsa things better than the sleeper and we both KNOW there are places out there WORSE than the sleeper.  2funny Inexpensive and clean and i'm happy. When the days activities were done at I-13 after I had eaten after an adult beverage or two grab a shower hit the rack get up get breakfast and start another days activities. No it was NOT a $500.00 a night or a $10000.00 a night place. My bed was comfortable had plenty of hot water for a shower the A/C would put frost on a polar bear and the staff was friendly. The had a nice size parking lot for the vendors and us AND they put up with US. RIDE SAFE.

My room did not have a refrigerator  If you have seen me carry one from one room to another
you were hallucinating I would NEVER do that    Evil

The room was clean, and had a great view of nothing but I dont book a room for the view

I book a balcony room on a cruise ship if I want a view

It was about the people old friends new friends Riding once there is secondary  Watching Daniel work magic on his dirty bike (still trying to understand how you beat me out of most visually challenged bike)

And I was so glad I came there with Bonnie, G-man and his wife Cheryl

Wonder where it will be next year and if I will be able to go ?

Vacations have already been set for me, hope I can dovetail something that works so I can go
