So I pulled bith wheels and got new tires and decided to try the dyno beads.....so anyway, I get it all put back together and all is well. I am on my way to work and see that I have noe speed (indicated) and knew instantly that I had forgot to hook up the speedo cable. So I hook it up last night and same thing today...know speed (indicated).....so I unscrew it and look and now the question......

Is there something that could have fallen out that I dont know of......

......Any thoughts

Thanks in Advance

What kind of bike do you have? Standard, Tourer, or IS? I don't think anything would have fallen out, but...the first thing you should do is either buy a Clymer guide for the Valkyrie, download the shop manual from valkyrienorway.com, or both. Either will have a detailed technical section on the speedo and it's cable. I have both and wouldn't put a screwdriver anywhere near my bike without.

If you drove it any distance without the cable hooked up, the drive cable inside fell out. Look near your house on the route you took.

Or the cable could be broken in the sheath, it happened to a friend of mine.

Thanks guy, I am guessing the cable fell out. I have a tourer. I have a manual and also look at the fische as well.

...update, the inside cable is gone.......

....the upside, I am digging my new Avon Cobras with Dyna Beads!

Isn't that the " Pitts" when the shipping exceeds the part cost? I love my Avons with Dyna Beads too.
