Took the fat lady down I95 to Laughlin NV then cut accross the mountains and back up the 93 to the Hoover Dam. Got the latest pictures of the bypass bridge, almost done. Take care all, may God be with you always.

Hotrod thanks for sharing the photos.  I wish I lived closer so that I could watch the progression of that bridge.  We have a double arched bridge about 3 miles from my house on the Natchez Trace Parkway that was constructed using a "cable-stayed/balanced cantilever approach" like they are using on the bridge there.  Following is a photo of the Natchez Trace bridge.

I didn't like living in Vegas so much but I did enjoy getting out to the dam and seeing Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon and California almost every weekend. I went out to Laughlin when they were in the start of building it and got stuck in a sand storm on the way there. That was a new experience the only thing I could think about besides being rear ended was I hope all the paint is still on my car. It was so bad the only thing I could do was follow the line in the road and hope I didn't come up on someone to fast. I liked your post of Red Rock and Mt Charleston in the past Oh and I almost forgot if you go all the way out on Trop out into the desert and shut off what ever your driving its so quiet that your ears ring. Thanks for the pictures they are great, and hows it going for you?
