In Germany there is no speed limit on most parts of the highway.
Just curious. Somebody over here installed new Hagon Nitro's at the rear and a new Hagon spring in the front fork. Put on brand new Metzeler tires, carefully balanced.
He took the Valkyrie for a testride and the bike was handling very well, except one thing. He noticed handle bar shimmy above 110 mph to the point that he had to decellerate.
So with brand new suspension and tires, his bike could not safely reach top speed (125-130 mph).
Does anybody have an idea what could be the problem here?
TIA,

Wheel balancing is the first suspect,,, then head bearings,,, then swingarm bearings,,,  then wheel bearings...............

Go back and recheck the installation of all items. One improper assembly could cause the problem.
I use and believe in balance beads. They are in the Valk and the trailer.
Shock bushings are known to cause all kinds of problems.

Mine did that. The only thing I did was adjusted the steering head bearings. After that, no more problems. cooldude

Thanks folks Smiley

Mmurffy03,
I came across a discussion in the UK http://www.valkyrieridersuk.com/VRCCUK/printthread.php?tid=167&page=1 and http://www.valkyrieridersuk.com/VRCCUK/showthread.php?tid=558
You may want to contact Bob (bobbievalk@live.co.uk) and/or Steve (sammy3d@blueyonder.co.uk) or their technical board http://www.valkyrieridersuk.com/VRCCUK/forumdisplay.php?fid=4&page=1 to get the latest on the Motard Stainless pipes.
