Since I'm fixing up my '98 Standard following a wreck I might take the opportunity to get a new handlebar.  Is it true the Interstate bar is narrower than the Standard?

I had installed risers which helped with the ache between the shoulders but I'm thinking a narrower bar would help even more.

It is not narrower, both std/tourer and interstate(IS) have one inch bars.

IS bars are a half inch shorter, a quarter inch on each side at the grips.  Not really much difference.

Thanks for clearing it up for me!
