I can remember when I was riding a 550-4 and my brother, Bear, was riding the 750-4 there were a bunch of companies that were making the cafe style racer stuff for those two.  I always loved that look - thanks for sharing that one - sure brought back some memories.  There is a dealer here that is selling some 550's, 750's and old Kawi's and Triumphs (that he has restored).  SUPER LOW MILEAGE and stock as a clock (on the most part) - I can get a Valk for the price they are asking but everytime I out that away's, I always stop in and check them out - they bring back memories!

It freaks me out to think back at how BIG those bikes looked then and see them now....

Sweet bike in the picture!!!!  cooldude cooldude cooldude

I had a '76 750 and I thought it was the greatest. I had 5 other friends with them also and we had a blast.

My first street bike was an '82 CB 750F

Awesome bike!

Now, when I think about the things that I did with that bike, I wonder how I'm still alive.

I still have an '83 CB 750SC

That I take out and "play" with once in awhile.

The 750's have plenty of power and are still lots of fun.

The cool / scary thing about riding the 750 after riding the VALK is that I feel like I can do anything with it.

My dad has an old '78 CB750 rotting away in the back of his shed that I would love to do something like that with.

Thanks for the memory!  My first street bike was a HUGE Honda CB750K, the biggest bike Honda made in '74.  Bought it new for a bit over $2K.  Those were the days!  We rode with no protective gear except a helmet (Indiana required them in those days) and eye protection.  Some of us got bees inside our T-shirts, BIG midwest bugs bounced off our bodies and rock dings on our hands.  How did I ever make it out of those years alive?
I owned 3 of those 750's over the years, a '74, a '77 with a vetter WindJammer fairing, and much later (in 1997) a pristine '75.  They all got 50-52 mpg.  Top speed was 115 in 4th gear and 110 in 5th gear.
It was a very large jump going from the 750 to the Valk.
Remember the valve cover caps that had to be removed to access the rocker arms for a valve adjustment?  Well, I discovered this winter that Honda still uses that same part on their ATV's today!  It is the exact same part, they use it as a cap on their tranny's and differentials.  Those sneaky devils!

That is a beautifully restored 750, I especially like green .
Back in 1970 our family was driving in the UP of Michigan and saw four of the then new 750 Hondas.  I had quit riding after I got out of the Army but those bikes got me started again. Among many bikes,  I ended up with two '82 900F's and I now have the 750's grandson, a '91 750 Nighthawk, still a UJM.

I lived in Boswell, west of Lafayette in those days.  My '74 was green, the other colors were orange and a sort of weird lavender/purple.  There was also an Automatic Transmission version, but I don't remember if it was available before '75 and it was only around for a year or two.
Once when riding from Oxford to lafayette with some pals, one of whom had a 900 Kawi that he loved to outrun our Hondas with, we were passed very quickly by 2 bone stock looking CB750K's bearing Illinois plates.  They both flat ran off and left the 900 Kawi!
We stopped at Otterbein when they pulled in for fuel and found out that they both had the 1000cc kit in them....they looked bone stock and Boy they were fast!

Had to have one! I got mine for about $1500 loaded with fairing, luggage rack and hard bags. I bought my CB750 in '69 while I was living in Houston, TX. It was stolen 3 times within 6 months. Cry  I got it back twice! The third time the frame was found in a field. Insurance paid only for the bike - but not for the accessories - live and learn. I accepted that you just couldn't own a desirable bike in Houston unless you slept with it. I bought a used Suzuki Titan 500 twin and it was never touched. I even parked it downtown at night where I worked without problems. I sure loved that

My first bike was the 750's little brother a 400 super sport. I rode it for four years and traded up to an 82 CB750F both great bikes, I  would love to find an old CB750F to restore.

Very cool...had a 73 (orange) 73 750 four bored out to an 810 with a K&H racing cam, hooker headers with a custom paint job and studded seat...not bad for a mechanically incompetent kid of 17...and I was on top of the world until I was passed doing 90mph by the new Kawasaki 900  Angry Angry

I had a 1970, extended the forks, put on a sportster tank,  took the front brake off, spoiled the lines,  I wasn't too smart at that age.  Real easy to pull a wheelie shifting into second with those six  lnch extenstions. uglystupid2  hoser
