The ride home was not as nice...static on all stations...got home checked connections, fuses and the rest of the usual suspects...nodda....any insight???

Bad ground on another circuit maybe??  My pickup radio does that if I have my cartrailer on and I hit the brakes sometimes.

Sounds kind of like the ground is searching for a solid connection.

Corrosion on either hot or ground can and will cause that unwanted background music.............

There is a small black box attached to the alternator.  This is a capacitor and is designed to filter out electrical noise from the alternator.  There is a procedure in the Honda manual for testing it.

If that is not the problem, check and clean all your antenna connections, especially the antenna ground. cooldude

In case you did not check it,  please check the antenna connection it is the most likely problem.   cooldude
