I had a great time at Inzane the rides were great and good times all day. But what was the deal with the food on Thursday night the wait was very long and the chicken was gone and the beef I got was 90% fat. A place like that could not run out of food. Still was a good times.

I was at the last table to be served.  By that time we were scooping the last of the potatoes and corn.  There was no chicken and they had to run to the kitchen several times to get more beef.  When they brought it out each time it was a helping or two.  I finally went and sat down when I saw what it was, mostly fat.  So I got no meat at all.  The desert was burnt also.

What burns me is no one from the hotel said a thing to the group when we were in line, not a word.  I could see through the kitchen door window a worker walking by feeding himself, several times.

I think a refund should be made by the hotel and I will gladly donate my portion to the Gilbert Brown Foundation.

I agree, they had a poor setup for the food line.  I was early, so got food.  They were having two lines go to one meat server, serving two meats.  VERY slow.  He was also putting widely varying amounts of meat on each plate.  I do not think he was very well trained.  I think they had plenty of meat, but by serving VERY large servings to some, they ran out.

Do not worry about the chicken.  The legs and wings were done, but, at least at our table, the chicken thighs were bloody in the middle, and they sat uneaten.

Other than that, it was a great time, and the hotel was good.  NOT a Hilton, but I did not PAY for a Hilton either!  Nor would I.

Our stay at the motel was very pleasant.   We had a great time all week and I feel our VRCC staff are amazing.   I do, however, agree the motel dropped the ball on our meal.   It would be nice if they would make a donation, but realistically I'm betting that doesn't happen.   Personally I am not going to let that put a damper on my good time at that rally or any future rallies!    As always, Our staff did a great job in planning a great event.  We should focus on saying Thanks to them for all the hard work that went in the planning and execution so that All of us could have a good time!

Having eaten at Marine(as in U S M C)field kitchens and the fact I received my food early the only complaint I can truthfully lodge was the fact that the tough beef was no match for my dentures-the beef won!!  2funny I had heard about the Thursday meal issues after the fact Friday morning as I was loading up to leave.  Undecided To those that got the sorry/late/not so good meal-maybe ya'll can eat first next year!!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

whatever they got paid to serve the meal was too much...sure didn't seem like they had done a big gathering before..it was not the experience we had hoped for..but what can ya do, pay for a service and get what you get..no way for the VRCC staff to foresee it

For what it is worth, the VRCC staff was also disappointed in the banquet meal performance and you can be certain there was no shortage of our expression of that disappointment.  Otherwise, the hotel did a great job of hosting us through the week.

No one else will know how greatly the hotel staff assisted in preparing for and executing InZane XIII.  I am grateful for that.

In response to the issues Thursday evening the hotel reduced the fee for the dinner and room by almost a dollar per person.

The VRCC contributed to the Gilbert Brown foundation subsequent to the event about $5000.

We had previously discussed that with a crowd of under 300 we would serve the banquet inside the hotel ballroom, but exceeding 300 we would need to go outside.  We were definitely at the upper limit, or over, of what they were prepared to deal with.

I always regret those things that go wrong despite the care and planning.  It casts a negative on an otherwise enjoyable occasion.

The meal was not the most important part of Thursday evening nor certainly the punctuation for the week.  I regretted the meal, but I had a fantastic time otherwise at InZane XIII on French Island, Wisconsin.

As I stated above-my meal was fine. The motel staff overall was extremely helpful with Lacrosse area information I needed from time to time. The breakfast buffet while good never changed. The price for a one week stay was very affordable as a single would be very budget friendly sharing a room. Over all a B+. RIDE SAFE.

:cooldude:Quickly sized up our food and service as a disaster.  No problem-we rode our Valks to the local Red Lobster.  Enjoyed the ride, loved the food and wine and our attractive attentive waitress.  No compaints here! ZOOM
