Two motorcycles went down in McKinney, both carrying passengers. The first hit a railroad tie in the road...it's unclear whether it then hit the second, or the second also hit the railroad tie. Not sure about the injuries, but I know they were serious.

I've seen the story reported on the news, but haven't found it on a website yet...

McKinney police officials said two unidentified people had to be flown to Dallas area hospitals and two more had to be taken by ambulance to a local hospital after two motorcycles riding in a group of three struck a railroad tie.

The accident occurred at 11:40 p.m. on the northbound U.S. 75 frontage road north of White Avenue. McKinney Police Lt. Scott Brewer said one of the motorcycles ran over the large piece of wood left in the road and lost control of their vehicle. Accident investigators are still trying to determine if the first motorcycle crashed into the second after losing control or if the second motorcycle also ran over the railroad tie. The third motorcycle in the group was able to avoid a collision.
