The last full weekend of this month is the Wetzelland rally in Wetzel Ohio. Not to far from me, maybe a hour. Its on of my favorites. Its always been my 'pre Sturgis warm up'.  Lips Sealed Been going for since about 2001 or so. Its kinda rough but everyone gets along. Always great bands playing, Tesla, George Thoroughgood, Foriegner, Ted Nugent, etc. Good bands for a local club rally. It was gonna be Kits 1st year there to. We decided tonight to save our money, was gonna cost about $200 for the weekend, and use it at Sturgis or pay some 'during the rally bills'. We leave 4 days later for the 69th party anyway. This is the 1st year that I'm donna ditch the rally. Already planned to go and had 2 dozen people lined up for our camp site. My hearts not into it this year for some reason.  Undecided I have not put the miles on the bike either this year.  Angry Maybe 2,000 miles compared to last year at this time, 8,000. Hmmm... wonder whats up? I must be to busy.

Construction going on out there now. Resurficing 14A from Sturgis to Deadwood. Then also a few exit ramps on 90. Should be done by 31st.
When are you all headed back home? If the dates are good maybe we could hook up for a meal.

Will do. We leave afternoon of the 30th and will stay in Iowa, hopefully Watterloo. The 31st we'll be in Winner SD for the night. I'm sure we'll cross paths.

Miles are way down for me too... My team of 25 geeks a year ago is now 10 geeks and some useless dead weight in Mumbai that are supposedly our "teammates" but don't pitch in at all...

So besides being incredibly busy with work, also hanging onto every cent I can so when it's my turn to get called into the boss' office I have a cushion to live on for a while...

My miles are off by about 100 from last year........1100 last year by the 4th of July and 1000 this year (thanks to B&G ride).   But I just completed my 70th round of golf so I am 7 ahead of last years pace. Cool Grin cooldude

You aint ill fudgie, maybe just a little "rally burn out syndrome".
When I got back into biking a few years ago I couldn't get enough of BikeWeek & Biketoberfest just 65 miles away from home. We would stay all week & hit every event & venue multiple times. Now we just hit the highlights and spend more & more time relaxing at the condo on the St. Johns River.

Seems we need less time watching this........

And more time watching this as we get "older"..............
