Hello to all,
I finally managed to put new DOT4 into the brakesystem after 12 years. What came out was like the pipi of a very ill man : completely dark yellow !
I did it with the tool : migty vack.
Have a couple of questions :
-first of all you have to turn the steer to the left when bike up - then the reservoir should be parallel to the ground. Mine stops and is not horizontal at all. Can it be because I put some chrome between the tank and the frame so that the steer does not go so far as it should?
I simply filled the reservoir till at one end I could not fill more or it would drain out.
-when I opened the OEM bleedvalve, then I pulled all the time a lot of airbubbles, the manual says that if you suck air through the vlavethred, you should make it tight with teflontape. I didn't and pulled vacuum with the migti-vac tool + shut the bleedingvalve, this should be good I hope, because as there is vacuum on the system there is no possibility for air to enter, or am I wrong?
The last (left) reservoir will be done (clutch) when I have to take off my tank in a couple of days when HONDA finally delivers the OEM airboxcover with the "foam" in it, because I cannot get to the bleedingvalve as at the left side I had the OEM-claxon mounted. There is so less place that I even have to ask my wife to put the key in the hole in order to take off my seat......... and she does it
