Fuddruckers wasn't too bad. At least we had a decent meeting room. Redneck Heaven maybe,  but kinda noisy from my recollection.  Soulmans in Rockwall.   The Ft Worth stockyards. These are the only places I've ever been to. Since I have off that day anywhere is good to me. Where is a good place kinda centrally located for more of us to meet? I'm still new as far as choosing a good place to meet and have decent food. There was a BBQ place I remember off I20 just east of Cooper that had an upstair room for meetings but I can't recall the name. Only been there once.

When volunteering a place for meeting, please try to offer places that either (A) have a meeting room or (2) is quiet enough to have a meeting.  All suggestions will be considered, but these place's would make the top of the short list.  Thanks.

My unoffical suggestions would be Landmark Grill in Lewisville, Quaker Steak in Carrollton (I'll bring enough gas this time), or Po Melvins in Irving.

I'm thinking the change to Saturday is too close to deadlines.

So...let's do both.

I propose that Thursday night be at Quaker Steak & Lube. We had a good turnout there before and I think Thursday night is bike night.

4109 SH 121 (at Hebron)
Carrollton, TX 75010

Need a headcount.

I further propose that anyone who cares to meet at the Prairie House Saturday at 0800 for breakfast and an as-yet-to-be-routed ride before the oven gets turned to 'broil'.

+1 for meeting.

I'm out of kitchen passes for Saturday. Cry  Might still get one, but not looking too promising.

Sidenote - Big Poppa Pump is coming up Saturday to look at Doc's Orange and Black standard.  Perhaps a ride to Terrell is something to consider.  Just sayin'

Quaker Steak notified of our descent upon them.  They're only 95% positive that the room will be availabe, but that gravitated higher as we talked.

"Booked" under VRCC @ 7 pm. (1900 if the Gunny is monitoring this transmission.)

No go on the Big Poppa.  Doc's "deal" on the I/S fell through and I have no intention of being "bikeless".  Looking at another I/S on Sat but until there is a replacement, the orange/black std stays where she is.  Can't make the meeting tonight, booked with patients until nearly seven.  Ya'll have fun and eat a bite for me. Thanks again and Blessings,

I hope so, Victor.

There were almost as many Valks in the lot for Bike Night as there were of that other brand.

Brief updates were given on Inzane (we just made stuff up since nobody in the room actually went,) the rolling wrench party to San Diego by VP and Yoda, and Rainmaker's solo trip to have lunch with the Houston group.

There's a very informal ride this Saturday am that starts with breakfast at the Prairie House on 380 in Crossroads, TX @ 0800.

On Saturday, there's also the Hotglue BYOM (Bring Your Own Meat) cookout with Willow and Stude31 for any who care to go.  Disco may be planning to attend, so PM or email him through his profile if you're thinking about going.

Ride for Kids is October 17.  This year will include a lap around the Texas Motor Speedway track and a car show that will judged by the kids.

The Hill Country ride is the weekend of October 24.  See the threads on the Texas board for details.

We need at least three wrench parties when the weather starts to cool down.  One will be hosted by Woody in his cavernous garage/airplane hanger nestled in the wilds east of Anna and west of Arkansas.  One will be at Valkpilot's and will include a complete rear drive line inspection and service, and installation of proper valve stems front and back for an Interstate.  The third will be at Yoda's where he's got a bike to completely reassemble, as we did at Victor's.  It's a Tourer and not and Interstate, so should be a little easier.

We had a 50/50 drawing where the winner, Rainmaker, only got 33%.

It was an especially good meeting for me.  Delegation being the hallmark of good leadership, I let Randy do most of the talking.  This Prez thing is turning out to be a pretty easy gig.

Tire kicking and socializing commenced immediately after.
