I have a bad carburetor on a 1997 std valk (82k miles)  I'm looking for someone in the western Massachusetts area to fix it.
Thanks

Have you tried any cleaners? Is it just one carb? What are the symptoms that led you to believe you've got a carb problem? Have the plugs been changed in 82K miles? More info please.

Gas in one cylinder + muffler
When I tried to start it, I stripped 9 teeth on the starter idler gear + starter drive gear. Found all 9 so that's a plus
Guess I bragged too much about riding 82K and never having a problem with the bike.
My son is a car mechanic so we have the gears set but have little confidence in fixing a motorcycle carb. (and balancing)

The problem is most likely a jammed up float and needle valve.  You should be able to remove the carb bank, remove the float bowl, float and related parts, clean and reassemble without messing up any adjustments.  These are very simple things

If you go to youtube and look up this fella D-Ray Smith,
his instructional videos Really help you understand how
to get into your valkyrie.

There are 9 videos from him last time I looked
