Anyone use this tire? My ebay deal was a flop on my K-106 and found this local on sale. Seems like a good tire. http://generaltireevertrek.com/

What was wrong with the ebay tire, ?
Since my tire was discontinued I found the same on ebay slighly used. Still had some tits and the paint on the tread yet. So I thought I scored. It came today and I looked it over and the entire sidewall has a crack the whole way around.

I think you have seven days to file a complaint against the seller if so desired. Make sure its in writing though so and that the Ebay folks get a copy. I made that mistake with a vintage outboard that I purchased from a fellow a couple hours South. He said the engine was in super mechanical condidion and it turned out to have had a con rod failure in it. I contacted him by phone and he was savvy enough to string me along long enough to put me past the seven day limit and when I filed Ebay basically told me to go pound sand. He won that round..................

Looks somewhat similar to the General Altimax, that also comes on in a directional pattern (HP) or non-directional (RT). I have just under 24,000 miles on my Altimax HP and it still has lots of tread. "Sooner or later you'll own Generals." Lousy video but the General Tire commercial starts at 0:35

I put on that tire last winter on an Interstate I got last summer I got it at Wal-Mart and it was $100. I usually got a General Alti-max from Tire Rack, but it was right there at Wally and about the same price. It was also non-directional, put on any direction. Had it on there for a couple of weeks and went to Bike Week in Daytona in March. My nut cage rubbed and ruined the tire, but I made it to Florida and back to St. Louis before I realized it was rubbing. I had to replace the tire, and I got the Alti-max, but the Evertrek seemed fine. Only had about 3,000 miles on it, sure sucked to have to replace it. Didn't think the nut cage would hit, it was a 205/55/16. I've had two of those (Alti-max) on the Standard and haven't hit the nut cage once. Can't blame it on the WIFE, she only weighs about 115. Cranked up the shocks about 3 notches, removed the nut cage, all is good.

Got a little over 300 miles on it and it does stick like glue. I do know it does not like the 'forward' lines on a concrete rd.

its my 3rd darkside tire in 10 yrs . I cant say I saw much difference in any of them , they all react similarly to me . They all follow the squiggly tar lines or high spots . I'm not too worried about the tire myself . After the beating I gave it at Deals Gap last year I figured there wasn't anything else I could throw at it that would surprise me . It handled the relentless miles I put on it on the interstate on the way to Yellowstone last year . 1049 miles the 1st day . 3800 miles in 6 days (not including a 1 day layover in SLC). It will answer the call of anything you can throw at it . After 10k miles it still looks literally new . I think you'll like it fine for the price !
