Can I cut about 4-5" off rear exhaust tubes with out changing the sound?

Adding Stacks with 45deg. angle besause straight cut ones were out of stock.  I may cut off a inch. I really dont want to be able to see the exhaust tips sticking out at the end of the tube and would like to cut off 4-5" of the tubes. Would that change the sound and if so how much?

Probably not too much.

I've had slash cut, turn down, &/or straight cut ends on MGM, can't really tell too much difference.

Now that I have added a Trike Kit on it the exhaust sets about 10 1/2" too short and terminates under the rear body.

I'm going to find me some slash cuts and add them on.    Don't really want to add supports at the end, but if I have to, so be it.

RJ..the exhaust on my trike sticks out the back about 4 inches. i added 40 inch straight truck stacks to mine. it's been 10 years and almost 100,000 miles since adding them. iv'e never had to add any supports beyond where they normally bolt under the passenger foot rests. have not had any issues.. on my kit we had to lower the rear pipes by adding a 1 inch plate between the rear mount and the pipe mount to get the pipes under the rear but that was'nt a problem either.
