This was sent to me earlier today. I am going on a family vacation out west in 10 days and I am going to make a point to visit this memorial.

This is utter BS. I am so tired of the ACLU dictating what is offensive in this country. I find that organization offensive. Whats next. Do we take down every Cross and Star of David in Arlington because they Offend someone.

I agree with MAD6gun, sick of ACLU and all their BS. How can anyone find such a simple tribute so offensive?
Hope the courts come thru with common sense on this and tell that jackass to kiss off.

I read recently the ACLU is actually planning to do just that....sue to have them all removed. If it turns out to be true, I think as a group all us ex- and current military should rise up and make the biggest stink Washington has ever heard. ACLU=Against Civil Liberties Union. Maybe another ride on D.C. like they do every year to the Wall. Only this time let's strap their idiotic, worthless, misguided leader on a trailer, tow him to one of the cemeteries, then tie him and some of his associates to one of the crosses and leave him there.

this crap burns me up! Is there any way to counter-sue the ACLU? Get maybe a $300,000,000,000 class action suite against the ACLU (and that guy from Oregon who is planning on being offended some day if he ever drives past) for all the offense they cause us? A giant suite to tie the ACLU up in court for decades. I'd contribute money to that.
Maybe get a group of veterans together who were planning to worship at that site but now because the cross is blocked out, all those veteran's rights to worship (guaranteed in the constitution) have been infringed by the ACLU.
One way to put it in perspective is to reverse the circumstances. If some guy put a Muslim symbol on a hill which people came to feel special about, can you imagine the holy hell the ACLU would raise in that guy's defense if someone tried to take it down. The ACLU would fight with everything they had to allow that symbol to stay saying it was a hate crime to even think of having it removed. I think the ACLU mainly has it in for traditional things, including crosses.
I'm sick and tire of people looking for something to be offended about... like the Eagle's song says, "Get Over It!!!"
Just my 2 cents

Hey John......I surely understand your desire to ride on DC...........I feel the same, and would be there if there was a concerted effort and a plan that had a chance to actually do some good. Its large enough groups of Americans mad enough to band together and tell Washington to stop wasting our money and stop bickering like spoiled teenagers and start doing whats best for the country instead of whats best for their particular political agenda that is going to get their attention!!!!! Bottom line they all want our votes, and if they thought enough of us would be on their side if they changed something.....it just might change.......... I hear ya buddy
