I would like to dress up the Front Axle. Has anyone put on Axle Covers? If so, what did you use? I cannot find anything listed for the Valkyrie. I was told that the axle Caps for a VT750 ACE, would fit without any modification. Is this true?
I would be happy if I could get just a pug for the left (hollow/allen wrench) side? It looks as if something is missing.

Thanks to all of you. I will go with Hoser’s idea and get the simple axle plugs. Thanks again. Oh yes, the Pug is nice Little Dog. However, I have had Weimaraners for over forty ears.

Just to bring you up to date I ordered the chrome plug from Direct Line Parts. However, they called me back to let me know that it is no longer available. I contacted several other distributers to no avail.
What I did do is look through my junk drawer and found a chrome plated hex-head 1/2-13 bolt. I wrapped several turns of electrical tape around the threaded area and tapped it into the left side of the axel with a rubber mallet. Presto! I have a chrome plated plug that matches the hex nut on the right side of the axel at no cost, just a little time.

Is this the plug you were looking for? http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/Show_Chrome_Accessories_Front_Axle_Cap_Honda_p/1-321.htmI also would like to see the "new" plug you created.

However, I was told that it is no longer available by several well-known parts distributors. That is why I used the chrome bolt. I will take a photo and try to post it. If I have trouble posting it, anyone who would like a copy can send me an email.

These are the pictures I got from Gideon of his from axle bolt. For some reason I couldn't get the Photobucket app on the iPhone to work, so had to wait until I got home from a meeting tonight to upload the pics. Hay Jimmyt

Great looking bike Black Dog! But I don't think I could ride for many miles without windshield. Thanks for the compliment, but my baby changes looks with the distance of the ride... What I posted above was the 'Gun Slinger' or 'Harly Hunter' mode. Here she is all ready for a lil' 200 - 300 mile day trip... And this is how I dress her up for a trip to InZane, or The 'Q' in da Woods (picture taken in Michigan's UP, on the way to Timbr n Chilli's place), or anything longer than a day or two... It's like having 3 different bikes Black Dog
