Hi all,
I worked today on the bike and changed the air filter (I removed the tank and the seat). A rubber block dropped (unfortunately I missed it, but is something like this one. Size is about 3/4" x 1 1/2"). Do you know what is it for and where it is placed??:

I discovered also a rubber hose broken an disconnected (red colour on the picture).
I assume it has been like that for some time. What is it for? Should I replace it urgently?

Thanks a lot in advance!!

First item probably a rubber bumper off the underside of the seat pan?
Second item is just a drain hose for the carburetor bowl, no worries with it like that unless you need to drain the carb bowl...

Next?

Edit: if that rubber block has a large diameter hole in it them it might be the cushion/bumper at the rear of the tank where it sits on the frame in front of the seat.

Thanks a lot fordmano  cooldude. There is no hole in the rubber block, so I assume is under the seat...

You may want to take a look at all of those small Vacuum lines,if one is rotten then there may be more like it under there. When they dry rot and crack it can make the bike pop or backfire when you release the throttle while slowing down.If the one that goes to the petcock has cracks or damage it may stop the fuel from flowing to the Carb's. It looks like it is time to spend three or four dollars on Vacuum line.

Look at the back of your radiator reserve tank. I seem to remember seeing it there ... but I could be wrong.  Smiley
