I have an OEM Hondaline windshield on my 98 Standard.  I love this windshield but I recently has a mishap and scratched it.  I ordered a replacement from Directline and it can't come close to matching the quality of the original.  Additionally, I'm not certain if it is Lexan.  My original says Lexan in the lower corner but the new one doesn't.  There are distortions all over the new one.  Bottom line is I'm going to send it back and see if they have a genuine replacement.  If they don't, I'm going to have to buy a Clearview or a Cee Bailey's.  Which one is best?

I personally think the Clearview replacement is a better choice.

Several months ago I bought a Clearview stock height, tinted with a hole for the vent. I bought a vent separately. It's great and fit perfectly. The CV folks cut the vent hole free.

I know the Lexan OEM has a protective coating on it and I've been happy with it.  I think the Clearview is acrylic.  Any upkeep problems?

My first OEM lasted just over 100K and the replacement was another OEM from one of the web parts suppliers.

One of the used bikes I have, has a Clearview on it.

From ten feet away, the only way you can see a difference, is the lack of the bottom rail under the headlight, on the Clearview.

I haven't noticed any difference in performance or quality, but I've only put about 3-4K on the Clearview.
