I got a couple of these SOB's anyone can have for the price of shipping and handling...

NO RETURNS please.

SOB just fried another battery on MGM...   I guess I'll learn to use my trickle charger more....

Thanks for listening.

What Brand are they.  Message me on shipping (to MI) and an address (if they're still available).

I've never had problems with my HD tender (believe it or not, it works on a Honda!  Grin).  I keep it hooked up all winter.

It is not worth the postage to send it anywhere; it has had the 20# sledge treatment.

I got curious as to why if failed and took it apart.   Found 3 diodes that were smoked.  Figured ok, I can fix that.

Went to Radio Shack and found 1 of them.   The other 2 were discontinued about 10 years ago, and nothing is built to replace them.

So, it is now on its way to the land fill.

My buddy at the bike repair shop, that I give 99,9% of my parts purchases, gave me a Tender Jr. to try.   If I like it and it works he said I could have it for his cost.

So we see what happens………..

RJ, I've been running 3 Battery Tender Jrs and 1 Battery Tender Plus, for going on 7 years, 24 X 7 year-round when I'm not riding, and my '99, '02, and '03 bikes all have original batteries in them.  No fry and no fail (tenders or batteries).  I have ordered a new Yuasa for the '99, and will put it in before cold weather, but I bet it would be fine for longer.  Two have been plugged into fused power strips but brown or black outs have never hurt any of them.

RJ: Replace them with a CTEK charger. The model I have is the 3000 (maybe 3300 I forget). It's a great charger. Kuryakin sells them. The 800 model is just for bikes. Mine can do cars too. Left the dome light on in the F150. It brought it up overnight.

I put a battery tender on the battery of my 98T. I stashed the jumper cable leads for an emergancy under the seat too. And I have proceeded to lose the part that plugs into the wall. Oh well. Maybe mine will turn up. I've not used it in the years I've ridden this bike. It is a joy of living in NC that I can ride close enough to year round that I don't need a charger at all yet, the bike does a nice job charging itself.

I don't want to live anywhere where I can't ride every few days. eck.

Damn, their video is very convincing.

Might have to look into this further for my other battery needs.
