are the standard/tourer frames the same as the interstate frame if not what isn't the same ?

I understand the Interstate has additional gussets to stiffen the frame for the additional weight of the Interstate. If there's any other differences, I'm not aware of them. I don't believe you want to use a Standard/Tourer frame on an Interstate.

most of the salvage places like pinwall wont give you a title they claim in ohio they have to surrender the titles back to the state after parting the bike out but I talked to goldies cycles in Arizona today they give you the title with the frame and a notorized bill of sale so I guess I will try them next

When I lived in Pa. you could get a frame with a title from a wreck but the title was designated as salvaged so the next owners knew it was from a totaled vehicle , so you might want to try salvage yards in Pa.

On HDL's parts fische, the frames have different part numbers, and the Interstate frame's price is about $300 higher.  They must be different.

according to mag articles, gussets as mentioned (steering head an shock mounts) and I/S has solid and rubber engine mounts whereas Std/tourer has all solid mounts.

would that make swaping a standard parts bike into a bare interstate frame impossible
