After many false starts, I am finally gonna sell the Valk.  It's a '97 standard with Hondaline bags, lots of extras, low mileage, and regular maintenance by Mad6Gun. I bought it new in August of 1996.

As soon as Mark installs a new rear Metzeler to match the front, it'll be in the classifieds.

I'll miss it.

Exactly right, Paul.  Lots of memories!  In fact, lots of memories from all my bikes all these years.

I was trying to keep it in the family but Mad6Gun and Psychotic Bovine won't ride it with the windshield on and I won't take off the windshield.  My oldest son has 100,000 miles on his Pacific Coast and the Tupperware is getting tired but he likes great gas mileage so that's out too. Smiley

It will be sold without the sidecar.  The 'car is off and sold, the original triple tree is on, and the Triple Tread is being replaced by a Metzeler.

I'll not post any more here on the Valk.  I don't want to get into trouble with the powers that be.
This rightly belongs on the Classifieds (later)

Wayne,

Sorry to hear you are selling but understand.  Never easy to sell a bike.

I hope you still hang around the board.

Wayne....sorry you have decided to sell. I do hope your stick around and pipe in once in a while so we all know your doing OK. We do enjoy your input even though you don't hear about it every time. I for one read your posts and appreciate your insight that comes from all ready being around those blocks. You are a very smart man and I would be honored to meet you sometime and shake your hand. Take care my friend and even though you sell the Valk you are still welcome here as far as I'm concerned. Keep posting.......

Thanks for all the nice comments.  I'm going to try to keep riding my 750 Nighthawk for awhile, it's much lighter but it's not a Valk.

I don't intend to leave the VRCC if my friends will have me. Smiley

Only you know when it is time. No one else can make that kind of decision for you. All I know is that we need your wisdom and friendship here regardless if you are a Valk owner or not. Have enjoyed meeting you and your sons and look forward to the next time. That Miata is a fun ride too and will always be welcome at a Valk rally!!   cooldude
