Front signals work normally but rear both blink weakly plus the license plate light regardless of which  direction.
Any suggestions of what to look for?
Thanks for any help.

what do you mean "blink weakly"? Are you saying they are dim? Do they blink slowly? Take your time and reword it so we can understand your question. Thanks

Check the connection under the fender near the joint in the fender. Sometimes the tire can contact that connector and rub the wires. Just a suggestion cooldude

They both blink at the same time along with the license plate light but very dim.  Makes no difference which way I push the turn signal switch.  The front work normally.

Sounds like a ground problem.  The solid green wire goes to right/left turn signals, and the left/right brake/taillight and the license plate light.  I would check those connections.

It is a ground problem. Everything is back feeding. Grounds can do strange things.

Thanks for your responses.
Mr. Bubbles I am sure you are correct.  Only problem is with the miles of wiring on the bike I may never find the problem.  Worked on it last night for 5 hours.  I definitely have juice coming through the ground circuit. Angry

Pinched wire in the headlight? Have you removed anything from the bike and replaced it recently? Installed anything new? Just fishin' cooldude

Did you look in the wheel well above the rear tire under the rear fender?

Just got the bike.  I don't think anything was done recently.
I did check the connection under the rear fender.
Still searching.  I can't believe there are so many connections on this thing.  At least everything I am pulling apart I am greasing with a good dielectric grease.

Grin Found the problem last night.  A bad connection behind the right side cover. Angry Took her out for a ride to celebrate and eight miles from home she quits.  Trying to find out what happened.  Problem is electrical not fuel.  All systems work but when I push the starter button nothing happens except the head lights go out like they are supposed to.  No click no nothing.  Battery is fully charged.  DUH!!  What now.

Flip the kill switch on the right handlebar about a dozen times and then try to start it. I ended up replacing mine because of a problem with it. You can also do away with it fairly easy.

I checked the kill switch with my ohm meter and it seems ok.. I will try to figure out how to bypass it. It has continuity when on and doesn't when off.  I thought that would be the problem and maybe it is.

You have proven that the kill switch is working with your ohmeter.  I wouldn't eliminate it.  I use mine when I need to turn the bike off and still have my hand on the front brake.  Check the 30A fuse and holder underneath the right side cover for overheating or charring.  The connection could be just good enough for the lights, but too resistive to start it.  Curious to me that you say the lights go out but you don't hear a click.  What you are doing when you press the starter button is sending 12V to the solenoid.  Without looking at the schematic I can't tell you the wire color, but one of the wires on the solenoid should read 12V when you press the starter button with the key on.  One of the larger wires on the solenoid should already have 12V and the other one will go to 12V when the solenoid is operated via the starter button.
