Cliff;

I own Tourers, so I have no experience with a Interstate, but I believe the triple tips should just bolt on.

No mods needed. But I think that you can only use two of the mounting screws rather than all three. It was not a problem while I had them installed.

The piggies will interfere with the triple tips and require shorting and/or bending.
The heat shields on the bags may also interfere at the back where they dip down.

You may consider raising the bags and heat shield by 3/8 inch or reshaping the heat shield if there is enough room.

Let us know how it works out.

I stand corrected. I had my piggies cut while I had the triple tips. However, I didn't bend or adjust my bag supports and didn't have a problem with installation (that I recall).

I have a Tourer, with Interstate exhaust, with triple tips. I had to cut the piggies to install.

I also had to cut the piggies to install the triple tips on an interstate.
I really love the look of them though!

Triple tips arrived today.   Yep...  looks like 3-4 inches needs to be cut from each piggie.  You guys that did this before.... did you notice an increase in sound levels? (Droning)

I don't know that you'll get droning, but it will be louder.

Interstate exhausts were the quietest I've had... Tourer exhaust with triple-tips - the loudest.

The trimming of the Interstate piggies will increase sound, and the triple-tips themselves
increase sound. With Interstate or Tourer tips, the piggies pretty much come to the end.
With triple-tips, the piggies end back inside the tips, I guess the sound gets to bounce
around inside the tip more - but my triple-tips don't induce droning the way that normal
tips with way-cut-off piggies do.
