These are the brackets that would be used for the Valk bags from tsukayu.....They are not recommended for the Mustang bags which are the same bags with the exception of the shape of the backside. The Mustangs are flat and the Bags bought directly from tsukayu for the Valk are indented to fit the brackets and have the bags closer to the bike.
What I found out was that with the Ultimate seat having the bags closer to the bike wouldn't work out to well......at least for me.
First picture is a view of the brackets from the rear.....with my helpers.

Second picture shows how close the lid comes to the seat when opening or closing......

Third picture is my helpers who made this project possible.  cooldude

Thanks for the pics.  cooldude

I had a set of those mounts from Tsukayu too and thought about using them to mount my Mustangs.

They don't list them seperate on their site, but if you contact them, they will sell the mounts (and a bag of hardware) by themselves.

The Tsukayu mounts are very beefy and would have worked very well, but I wanted my Mustangs mounted close to the fender the same as the OEM bags are so that I could use my set of OEM bag rails....so I sold the Tsukayu mounts on ebay and used (and modified) the mounts from the OEM leather bags to mount my Mustangs.

I found the same problems as you in that my Ultimates where in the way of the lids opening in keeping the bags close to the fender.  The Tsukayu mounts would have solved that problem for me, but again, I wanted the bags closer to the fender than the Tsaukayu mounts would have provided.

It was a trade off.  I wanted the bag rails more than the Ultimates.  Sold the Ultimates.
