I asked Glen who owns Glen's VTX garage http://glensvtxgarage.com/and makes a number of after market VTX items if I could stop by and we could see if his products were suited for my Valkyrie.  He agreed and I bought and installed a 3" polished aluminum headlight extension so I could keep my light bar and mount Rifle lowers and also a Blinker Beeper so I did not keep inviting a wreck.

I will post pics of the extension & Rifle lowers later. Seemed to work out very well. I'll see what the jury says after I replace my MS with a Rifle Classic L windshield coming tomorrow.

The Blinker Beeper ($30) was a snap to install and about the best money I ever spent given my absent minded turn signal habits. It quits when the brakes are applied and resumes when released. The beeper is loud and annoying enough to remind you. Glen was a great guy and very helpful.

That Blinker thing looks good cooldude

I installed one that's inside my headlight bucket about 10 years ago, it's a little lame in the volume department, so this looks like a good replacement.

Thanks for the info.

I like the blinker buzzer. Is it a direct fit on the Valkyrie? And does it come with instructions?

For those so inclined, A former long time member (Chet of Rattlebars fame) still has his 'How To' pages up n working.

I made the buzzer, following his instructions, years ago, and for about $7 - $8...  Wink

Here are his turn signal buzzer instructions -

While yer there, look around at his other inventions.

Thanks again Chet  cooldude

@ Meathead
The one I bought fit nicely under the right side cover.

Where did you put yours?

Like Meathead, under the side cover where the wireing was done.

Blinker beeper! I've got one of those on my 2001 Standard. I really like it but I thought that it was an OEM standard! Mine sounds like a truck backing up, not a buzzer.

Mine is a loud beeper also.  I think it is a back-up warning beeper.

I am not complaining in fact I am real happy

EVer since Rick (3W) put on 4 way flashers I hear beep beep when the signals are
on   Have no idea why

Its a great thing in my book as I dont ever forget to turn em off

sounds like the back up beeps on cars and has saved me many times

too bad Valks dont come with 4 way flashers when new

I went and picked up the parts today from radio shack.  Going to install this sometime in the near future.  I like the four way and the beeper.  I don't know how many times I push the center of the turns signal switch on any given ride just to make sure they are off.... am I the only one that finds this to be a habit?

I don't like the looks of the DPDT switches though.  Not much for options of being hidden like the rocker toggle switches.  Oss where is your switch installed at?

Yeah I push in the switch all the time also, I have a drink holder in between my gauges that blocks the indicator. Got the stuff a few days ago from radio shack  . It was pretty easy but with my helmet on its not loud enough. Gonna try mounting them somewhere else besides behind the side panel. Any suggestions ?

I too, went and picked up the stuff today.  I am installing on my Interstate.  I bought the 273-060 beeper.  I wonder if I should have picked up the louder one?  Or should I get two and put them up in the fairing...
