I'm always busy...I beginning to think it's some kind of character flaw...but I'm here LOL!

Going Inzane...so I'll be there...been needing a good ride.

The house is going as expected. Slow and expensive...but an absolute blast! Surprisingly the "expensive" part is on budget...it's costing what I expected. It's amazing some of the stuff the UPS guy has had to deliver...

We're currently in the middle of wiring the Sun room and installing a mini-split seer 20 AC/heatpump there. Also plumbing the utility room (adjoins the sun room) and installing a new tankless water heater. Get to start building cabinets soon.

We're not living there yet, but we could. More than half the house is occupiable...and it's a BIG house.

Let's see...

Another book coming soon...the fifth in the "Life is a Road" series. Soon...as in "sooner than later"

Should be a couple or three new short stories show up on the web site in the next few days (hopefully before Inzane)

Stormrider is still not ready for publication. It is progressing though. Seems the characters keep wanting to run away with the story.

Got another possible (big) project that may come up...some things are still in the negotiation stage...I'll know more later this summer...but it involves yet another tower...and a home for Stormrider Press.

Heh...Didn't think about it actually. Doing the research and came across the deals. (click) bought.

1-ton, seer 20, inverter heatpump, single head, 5-year warrantee, amcore air/sanyo...$1200 delivered with install kit (20 ft line set).

I'm gonna need about 8 more of these things eventually if you can beat that! I am ALL for discounts!

I have never heard of Amcore Air.  But I am BIG BIG BIG into Sanyo inverter systems.  I have one... I specify them a lot, and $1200 is a great price.  I can't do ya any better than that bro.  Not once we add in freight, and the copper to do it.

I will advise you though about finding and using the correct oil when you make the flare connection.  It's a special oil, that I can't think of the nome of, but it's compatable with R410A.

I have never seen a SEER rating on one yet either, although I know they are good.

Are youfamiliar with the VRF version of the ductless splits?  Essentially, they couple ALL the inside units in your house, to ONE outdoor unit.  VERY VERY cool Tech.

Yep, looked at those as well...the price breakdown is what put me on the single units. The multi-head units are much more expensive then an equivilent number of singles.

I've PLENTY of nooks and crannies to tuck the condensers outside where they won't be seen, and end the end I figured the redundancy was a good thing anyway.

Seems a good solution for an old Victorian...lots of zoning, I'm getting the heatpumps even though we have gas heat everywhere as they have automatic anti-freeze function and it gives us options when the gas/electric rates get all wonky (as they frequently do). Also fits in with our "pay as we go" methodology. As we hit a room, we grab us a unit. Done!

I have one in my garage bonus room.  It's awesome.  Quiet.  Cheap.  Works good.

You will not believe how quiet the outside units are.  Don't bury them too far either.  airflow is important.  If you can kkep them in the shade... like north and east sides of the house... that's better too.  Even South isn't TERRIBLE but West is bad.  Remember shade on the outdoor unit is good.

My buddy Lee came over and nailed up this bead board ceiling while I was at the Blue/Gray ride...



We got the ceiling bead board at Lowes, it's painted yellow pine.

I've started putting up the wall, the bead board for the wainscot is unpainted pine
we salvaged from a 150 year old house in Mountain City (Clayton) Ga...

With friends like those you need to go riding more often.
I wished my buddies would show up and do house hold projects while was out riding. Typically my friends want me to skip riding and give them a hand with something.
Maybe I need a better class of friends!
