Hi All, I have a friend with a VTX that wants to get a darkside tire on his bike. Does anyone know where in the N. Dallas area he can have the tire mounted and balanced?
Thanks!
Chuck

Chuck, The place Daniel referenced is Cycle Concepts. Their website is http://cycle-concepts.com/. Their contact info is 12750 Preston Road Ste.210 Frisco, Texas 75034 972-377-0889 I used them for dismount / remount / balance when I had my wheels powder coated. DFG

Chuck, I have used them too. They're fast, friendly and reasonably priced.

Has anyone tried to do this themselves? I have changed out my front tire (I have a bead breaker and some wicked tire tools) but haven't tried the rear tire.

My Dad has a manual, walk-around tire mount & bead breaker bolted to the floor of his workship that he uses for Model T / Model A tires. I haven't used it for motorcycle tires yet, but plan to when I pull the rear to tighten my leaking patchboys valve stem. That way, if the dynabeads get spilled, it's my fault.

I have changed about 10 rear tires to the dark side. One of thoes being a Rune. It really is not that big of a deal, it is actually easier since the sidewall is a little more forgiving.

Actually, Flyboy mounted the 'darkside' that I currently have on my Valk. It was real easy since all I did was watch . But, Cycle Concepts did my front. Tom

Noticed that the replies (as requested) were in the North Dallas corridor....for the folks on the FW side of the Metromess, A Bikers Garage in Roanoke mounted my Tripletred and balanced the tire. Went in on a Sat morning and waited. No hassles because it was a car tire.

Man...thats my biggest issue. You'll take my money and mount my tire but feel you have to give me the "flaming death" lecture? I'll ignore you and find another shop 30,000 miles from now, thank you.
