Had head lights at pre-ride check, plugged in the intercom and lost head lights. Fuse is fine, any other ideas?

Both high beams and low beams?
Check out the high/low beam switch.
Spray some cleaner in the switch.
Check the connections at the fairing. Both sides.

Same just happened to me while on my ride back from Bangor. I have no idea what the problem was. Mine went out while riding a mountain road just after it got dark. A few minutes later, I goosed the throttle and they came back on.
While I'm not sure what the problem is, it seems that the answer is more throttle.
Interested in a real solution.

For me, nothing else. Just headlights, brights and dims both. Not trying to hijack, but I figure it's probably the same problem and will likely happen to me again and may not self repair.

I would lose mine every now and then. It appeared to be my hi low beam switch, after cleaning it I've had no problems since.

Both hi and low.
I will have to check the switch. As I think of it, sometimes when changing from high to low they would go out for an instant...will look at this in the morning...

They are supposed to go out for an instant. The system calls for one or the other, and whatever lamp is on will go out as the other is coming on.

I had the plug up on the clutch side under the fairing loose ground. I cleaned the plug and also ran a separate ground on the headlight side of the plug to the frame and have not had a problem since.
