I wonder how many of you have seen this? I live in Bonham Tx. I work mid-nights at DFW airport. I am usually heading towards Dallas on hwy 75 when suddenly I'm startled half to death by some ZIP-SPLAT going somewhere north of 120 mph and "threading-the-needle" in heavy traffic. Now it is well after dark, and traffic is heavy. Most folks are running a little under 80 mph, me? I'm sitting on 65 w/the cruise on and trying to wake-up and mind my P's & Q's and just get to work on time, and in one major assembly. This Tuesday it got ugly.... During one of his more "daring" three lane-changes, I think he "clipped" a car two in front of me, and she HIT THE BRAKES! I know it scarred the $&#t out of her, and the Chevy P.U. in front of me couldn't avoid her, I almost hit him! We all pulled to the right shoulder, and the ZIP-SPLAT (no rear light at all) just kept going! I would say both car and truck were damaged beyond repair. Now let me say, that from time to time, I have, myself, been a little too happy with the throttle, but I am usually on a deserted road, by myself and usually it is just a bit of a romp, and then back down to legal limits. Am I just getting old, or is my admiration for my machine just in excess? BoJangles

" mind my P's & Q's and just get to work on time, and in one major assembly. " No excess in this statement. I have found that I am no longer 10' tall and bulletproof. He, on the other hand must still be. All you can do is try and stay visible and watch the traffic 2-3 cars ahead of you in all lanes. This has kept me pretty safe so far. There are always things that come at you unexpectedly, but I can usually see something developing up the road and prepare for it. I would be on the look out for him on that same road and report him if you can get his license plate and description. That is if he isn't going by so fast that you can see it. Good advice HayHauler, always go for the license plate, description of the vehicle and call 911.
Don't try to stay with them after the call, you have done your part, now let the boys in blue do theirs.

We were in Houston last night and saw several, in a hurry to go nowhere.

If you are riding and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I think it's a matter of people getting a rush from the speed and danger. Some do drugs, some shoplift, some ride insanely. Off the bike, they are probably pretty much "normal".
It doesn't make sense to me but I'm not them. Don't agree with what they do, but so far, it hasn't stopped 'em.

I think they do it "threading-the-needle" because they can ... another one of the people that enjoy " being out of control " I hope he does no harm to the innocent ...

If you ride like that sooner or later the odds will catch up with you. Then someone has to come along and clean up the mess.

noticed two cars driving at exessive speed ,no lights ,when crossing DFW at night on the way back this summer. Figured that s the way they do it here ,never seen that in Htown. Here most all single drivers are texting or talking on their cell!
