I want to remove the radio and handlebar control unit.

I never use the radio or the intercom, I realize I would lose the clock set button.
What else would effected.

I wouldn't do it. I don't know anyone that has. Why would you? Is it a looks thing you don't like on the handle bar? Maybe you should sell the Interstate and buy a Tourer and put a fairing on it.

I agree with big Mac, I would just leave it alone. If you do not like the big bullwhip antenna, you can always just take it off or replace it with an Autozone rubber one for around $8.00.
