Pulled a bone headed move.

Need to know what size the oil filler cap O ring size.

Apparently the replacement cap re-uses the existing one...one I no longer have.

I would just go to Hardware store and find one to fit.
I know you will have to take the car to the store.

The ACE Hardware Sore, that I went to, charged $.39. Smiley

I rode mine TO the store, took the cap inside and found an o-ring that fit.  I'm sorry that I never even looked at what the size is.

Bone head move.

Went to Wally World to get some oil. Top off was a Tad low

For correct oil

Removed oil filler cap, placed on passenger running board.
Filled with oil
Checked oil level
Placed remaining oil in saddle bag
Mounted bike drove off.

About a 1/4 mile I was wondering why my foot was sliding off the brake.
Looked down to see something from a sci fi horror movie. Oil spewing from the crank case all over my pants, chrome, etc.

I had forgotten to place the cap back on

I spent the next hour following th clear oil trail bact to wallyworld, searching for the cap. No luck.

I bought a few mor quarts oil, not knowing how much I lost. Was down a 1/2 quart or so.

Filled with oil
Removed sock
Jammed sock into gaping hole
Limped home, smoking fromthe oil that was hitting the pipes.

Ordered new chrome oil filler cap the next day.

Yes. I'm an idiot.
