Gretings All,

I have tried (with out success) to find the information for replacement intake manifold O-rings. I am not talking about OEM, but a different type that is a much better quality O-ring. I replaced mine years ago and no fuel leak stains since, but I have a friend that needs his replaced also and looking for the information.

Does anyone have this info?

Thanks in advance

Charles

If mail order isn't fast enough, the size is a #123 and get Viton or silicone. A local hydraulic supply should have it.

Seeing that this is the best source for the 3 O rings needed for rear spline maintenance (they have a 15 o ring pack good for 5 rear changes) they also sell the intake O rings. I bought a set of each, good folks to deal with, good products.

...Im in need of these also and was worried about taking the entire carb assembly
off and then bolting it back on. Then I saw a guy on the FaceBook VRCC site,
that took the front and back intakes off and left the carb assembly on,
with only the middle intakes and I got the Idea to do this to replace the O Rings.
Anyone else done this, or know of a better way without removing the carbs ?  Cool

Just do one side at a time. Worked fine for me.

Also, while you're in the area, make sure all three hose clamps are tight on each intake (yes, there are 3 on each one).

That job shouldn't take more than 20 minutes...just make sure not to over-tighten the intake bolts...they only need 6.5 lbf-ft.

Do all three on one side but don't tighten any of the bolts or clamps until  you have all three back in place and then tighten.

Do one whole side at a time, loosen the runner nuts enough to raise all three runners up at once about 1/8 inch.  Use a dental pick to pull the o ring out.  Put a little grease for lube on the new o rings and slip them under the raised runners.  Position with the dental pick and lower the runners, the lube helps the o ring seat in the groove....
