alright, what do you do with old brake fluid?  when I change my engine oil I collect it in a 5 gallon jug, bring it down to the jiffy lube place were they burn it for heating their building,

but, what do you do with old brown, brake/clutch fluid?

I just read somewhere (here?) that brake fluid is glycol.

Treat it the same as your old anti freeze then.

I dump mine in with my old oil too.

Brake fluid is nothing more than a hydraulic fluid/oil and it is accepted practice in most areas for it to be dumped in the same recycle tank.

They send it to a secondary refinery where it is processed and split into fractions, then sent to other refiners/blenders to be either returned to the production cycle, or if it's too heavy it'll go to a cement kiln for burner fuel.

Here, the ecology station (local dump) took mine in the same pickle jar it was collected in as long as it was clearly marked. I had marked the lid with "used brake fluid". No fee charged after they confirmed I was a local.
