If anybody is lookin for a 99 std, orange/black (only 240 ever built in that color), wings, shield, Leatherlyke bags, stereo, 72K miles, it is offered at Kawasaki of Carrollton for $4600.  The stereo is new, the wings are new, new leather (real leather) on the seat (<150 miles on it), new petcock, vacuum/fuel lines, plugs/wires, valves adjusted, carbs cleaned/synced.  Be glad to give you a history on the bike if you would like. I stepped up to a full dresser. Larry

Went with the Vulcan Voyager, diablo red/black, 1700cc v twin injected, six speed tranny (true overdrive 2300 rpm at 70 mph), electronic cruise control, full dresser fairing, bags, trunk, combo of analog and digital dash, stereo with auto volume control (louder on street, turns down with deceleration or stop), floating floor boards (rubber floats inside chrome), heel/toe shifting, self cancelling turn signals, etc.  Handles like a sport bike, much more nimble than the Valk.  Having to learn to ride all over again.  Still love the Valk and will still be lurking on the board.  Might even show up to a ride or two if you guys will allow a v-twinkie around. Larry, I for one, don't give a (*&%^ what you ride, just that you ride when you can.
I will ride with you anytime.
Congrats on the new Vulcan.

Doc, first, it's about friendship more than what you ride. If you don't keep coming around, we're going to hunt you down and make you ride/eat with us.

Second, if you're like me, that cruise control will spoil you fast out on the highway. That's one of my favorite things about the wing.

See you soon - or else.   cooldude

Thanks SC.  I was under the impression that friendship played a role in all this somehow!  Glad my suspicions were validated. L

I think it's great that someone of your advanced age is going with a more sedate ride.   Evil
