Just an F Y I-side covers

We all know that new or replacement side covers are spendy. The rear rubber grommet Part # 11345-M B O-000 might need replacing. Went down yesterday and got them from my dealer and installed them. The side covers now feel like part of the machine. If your side covers are a little loosy goosy have a look at the rear grommet. I paid $3.59 each but THAT is way less than a side cover. Little preventive maintenance will help protect yer wallet to.
RIDE SAFE.

Is that the same part # if you have the Corbin side covers?

I'm guessing yes, since the Corbin's use the same grommet (but are held on with a nut, so no worries about them flying off).

IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT THEM FLYING OFF, (AND THEY SOMETIMES DO) right outboard of the contact point between the cover and the center piece where it hooks into the center section you can drill a tiny hole through the cover and the center piece, then put a very small sheet metal screw through the holes. locks them in tight.

I lost the grommet on the right side front without realizing it and it was laying on the ground the next morning I rode it. No scratches or anything, so I lucked out. I order new grommets and still have some fitment issues so it is held on with a zip tie threaded through the back so only an 1/8" of the tie is visible.
