They opened up her chest yesterday for a look at the tumor, and to get samples of it for biopsy.  The surgeon says it is really big, and it's sketchy that even if it is a benign tumor, that they will be able to have enough viable heart tissue left to have a viable heart.  Maybe... but maybe not.  So plan B is still a mechanical heart, till they get a transplant.  But it all depends on the pathology reports that SHOULD come in today.  They said they were expediting the results so they could have them in 24 hours.  We'll see.

Keep the prayers and e-cards coming!!

Maia Ruusma.  Maribeth and Mart are mom and dad.  I am uncle Jabba. (John Lowe)  Mart is 39 and Maribeth is 27.  Maia was an invetero conception.

Neither of them have left the hospital in 8 days.

I am sending her my laptop today, so she can get online a little without all the blocks on the hospital hospitality PC.

Thanks for your support.

I can't imagine the feelings you all are going through. Maia's picture reminds me of when my children were little and it breaks my heart you are all going through this. Please know that there are many of us who are praying for Maia and all of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
