You can always tell what time of the year it is out here by the temperatures of the water coming out of your cold water tap.  For the past few days I have taken my 5:00am shower with only the cold water on and the water temp has been between 85 and 95 degrees.  Yep, it’s the middle of July.  This will last until near the end of September.  Using the cold water setting on the clothes washer is a joke.  Tonight I will shut off the hot water heater till the end of September.

Years ago I did my own photo processing but could not do any work in the summer because I could not get the rinse water temps down to the required 68-72 degrees without running through a chiller.

Temp on my ride to work at 5:30 am yesterday morning was 92 degrees ( that was the low for the day) , ride home at 3:00p.m. was 112.  Sunday was 116 with 100 degrees at midnight.  With temps like this I tend to keep the trip to work and back as short as possible.  I ride my 01 Magna around town.  Monday night I took the Interstate for refueling and wanted to tear the windshield off because it stopped air from circulating around me like I get on the Magna.

No long trips from now till the beginning of September.  While it’s nice to get out of the Valley up into the coolness on Northern AZ, the long slow trip back into the 110+ temps is exhausting.

The trip is short,
enjoy the ride,

I can be sympathetic to that plight whist typing this in July.... but sorry, in January, when it is -5 here (Ohio) with snow up to our arse... and you guys are probably in the 70s-80s you might not get the same feelings...

The HIGH was 65 degrees here today.

In January, -5 is balmy up here.  Try -30 or -40.  When the snow "squeaks" when you step on it, it's COLD!  Shocked

I was born in Phoenix and lived there 23 years. I was there for the 122 degree record in 1990. I was working construction pouring concrete that day. On this project

You got that right 39 Chev. The older I get the more I can appreciate COOL air, although a bit exteme {-30 } at times. High humidity zaps the juice right out of me. We going have to ride sometime 39, you must be right across the river.
