don't know if everybody saw them but a guy on ebay sold a set of corbin beetle bags and side covers they were still new and grey primered they still sell the bags new for 1600.00 but no longer make the side covers and are pretty rare on ebay and over 500.00 when I have seen them he was asking 950.00 plus 50.00 shipping then you paint them he took a best offer guessing 900.00 maybe a bit more they do look good in there online pics on a bumblebee with no blinkers and the stinger seat anybody think this was a good deal for the price he got here is the listing below

my trike is painted in a bright yellow urethane. i went to the paint store last week to buy a pint of the yellow paint to paint a small cargo trailer. the yellow paint, with no clearcoat, no catalyst and no reducer, was (are you ready ?) $97.00 a pint.

paint materials have gotten so out of sight that you really need to watch what you buy. the paintwork can break you.

it was high quality urethane, which by the way is what honda uses. all are clearcoated urethane colors. they showed me a pint of blue pearl paint used on 2014 chevrolets that costs $160.00 a pint. are we doing the math here ? thats $640.00 a gallon. and -- that doesn't include the clearcoat, the catalyst, reducers, primers, sealers, sandpaper, compound, etc. etc. etc.

i have seen paintwork total a car. stop and realize (some of you already know this cause you are riding custom paint jobs) that it can do upward to 3K to do a nice quality paint job on a valkyrie.

damn, i am old enough to remember charging $300.00 to paint a bike complete. but then i remember when it cost $2.50 to fill the tank up too, not the $30.00 we pay today, i remembeer when $30.00 worth of gas would fill everyone in towns bike.

might want to go back and study more math...at $160/pint (8 pints/gallon or 2 pints/quart) then that would be $1280/gallon....just sayin'   Grin
