Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Left out yesterday and flew into London - another month in Africa ahead.  Anyway, just didn't feel like getting the tube to Central London to do anything touristy, so I just walked around and checked out some of the really neat neighborhoods around here.  The flowers are really in bloom and there were some really nice gardens.

Saw some really cool old places.....

Oh yeah, a guy had a heart attack, I think, on the airplane last night.  An elderly gentleman had to sit down the row from me and he lost all color and then had a hard time breathing and then lost conciousness.  When the steward got him to come to, he threw up and they got him on oxygen and after an hour or so, his color came back and he could breath normal again and he came to.....

Going across the Atlantic is not the best place to have a heart attack....

Speaking of which, I am still searching for the ultimate Fish and Chips - and this dang sure wasn't it......

Presentation was nice with the flavor infused malt vinegar but the fish was bad....

Well, everyone going Inzane - SAFE WINDS!!!!!!!!  Have a hoot!!!!!!!!!!

During the early 80's I was touring England in the company of a young British lass and we got some Fish n Chips from a street vendor that was selling it from something similar to a hot dog cart.

It was even wrapped in old newspaper.

We were in Cambridge at the time, which if I remember correctly was a short train ride from London.

We were able to visit our youngest (while a exchange student at Essex U.) in late March and took numerous bus excursions to see the attractions.  We could have easily doubled the # of tours and still not seen everything we wanted to see.

We loved seeing the historic sites we were able to visit.

Unfortunately, we only found one pub that we truly enjoyed the fish and chips.  Most were well prepared, just not what we expected, I guess.  (And what's with all the peas???  Grin)   Bangers and mash was a good dish.
Had LOTS of tasty lagers and ales to try.
We did eat at a great Italian restaurant, the 6 of us dropped a bundle on dinners and wine that night.  cooldude

Cheers!

Call to make sure locations are still open.

The fish in your photo is a piece of frozen.
