Let's wait until we get closer then set it up. They start tours Mar 5 but that is the snowiest month.  I'm thinking with as dry as it's been, the weather is storing up to really hit us hard before she quits for the season.  Or now that I'm ready for big snow it won't happen. Maybe in April after the GOTF would be a target time.

Wow, CO looks ro be a pretty active area! I'll be moving into the Denver area beginjing of March, will live out of a suitcase for a few months, then move the family up. 1800 Valk is coming me with me to be joined by the 1500 when the family moves.

I look forward to meeting you all!
Welcome! You are the third Floridian Valkyrie rider to move here in the past year that I know of. Are there any left in FL? Keep an eye on this thread and come meet up with us.  cooldude

Hey all,

Got a question...How does one know if the carbs need to be synched?  My I/S seems to run fine, but maybe because I don't know any better...

How bout this weather lately?! Cool

Well, plans have slightly changed. I'm bringing both bikes with me! lol

Oh whoa is me. Anyone running Cobra 6 into 6s? I know I'm going to need to re-jet from Florida at sea level to Colorado at higher level needles. Might as well get them on order.

Well my work the week before the GOTF's cancelled on me so I will be heading Thursday afternoon, and probably staying over in Amarillo. I will pick up the hotel costs.

Anybody else interested in riding down with me, or is there already a group ride planned that I am not aware of?

I ride with SuperTrapp's wide open on stock jets. I doubt you will need to re-jet. An adjustment of the 'Pilot' screws might be needed to resolve it running rich, but again I also doubt that. I've ridden my bike from the top of Pikes Peak (14,110ft) to the Sea of Cortez (0ft) and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

Weather permitting we will ride, if not we'll drive.  Either way hauling the popup camper and not at high speed - both due to speed limit for camper safety and if riding, June does not go high speed. Same route as last year except this time we will go AROUND Dallas and Houston instead of thru. We plan to leave early on Thus AM expect to stop on the Dallas bypass.  Our route 1088 miles.

They will do just fine. I put together an annual Pikes Peak or Bust ride up to 14,110. Other than lack of power up that high the Valks run fine.

I guess "puny buny" has grown a tad.  It had one traffic light last time out 2005.

Haven't done this since last year.  Weather's been nice but the forecast is for the jet stream to shift south midweek next.  That will move the high pressure out and cool things off, destabilize the wx and perhaps add moisture.  The following weekend many of us will be gone to the GOTF.

The Golden Corral at Arapahoe and Parker worked for us in the past.  Any interest?  Say Sat 3/25.  If the weather goes south we all have cages...

Can I get in on a check sometime? The 1500 seems to okay with the elevation but she runs a bit out of sync when cold now. Might be worth a look at the sync to freshen it up.

Moofner - sure nuff.  Be glad to meet you.

Just called Golden Corral.  We need to adjust the time to 7:30.  There's a group of 40 scheduled at 6:00 and Charles says it would be better if we slip it a half hour to be sure we get in the room.

SO SEVEN THIRTY AT GOLDEN CORRAL, NW CORNER OF ARAPAHOE & PARKER - Come meet & greet & have some chow!

Turns out the Golden Corral has a special going on thru Sun.  Advertised on TV.  I believe it's the "Meat Lover's Spectacular" for $13.99.  IIRC - just caught it as I walked past the theater room. aka "Man Cave".  I could be off a mite on the special name and price.  Ya never know.  I'm often full of it... However they mention it here: http://www.goldencorralfranchise.com/the_brand_story/national_ad_campaign/
