finally found a way to hold the dragon back

Tulsa, Ok

« on: November 09, 2013, 05:50:57 PM »

Two months ago I asked you folks for help with replacing the rubber hoses on my 98 Valk. I was told that Bob aka theatticrat lived in Tulsa and to check him out. Long story short he took a great running Valk and made it do things I never dreamed of. Milling, porting, polishing and much more. My roll outs used to end at 105 and now according to GPS it's 125. His shop is clean enough to eat off the floor and in two hours while BSing with me he had the bike apart. All the rubber parts were replaced. All I wanted was to replace fuel line and it was like new so we kept it. And per your suggestions on tech board I did desmog. Thanks again. I enjoy the tech board and hope to run into Willow and Hayhauler in the future and if you folk are vegans we can substitute tofu burgers

PM Atticrat here on the board.  Qguy, I know a few people that have had work some by Atticrat down here in Texas.   He knows his way around a Valk.
No steak dinner required.  Glad you are happy.

I dyno'd my valk after it was tuned and tbr carbon fiber pipes were installed. Was 112 hp. Let me put it this way. Almost wiped out thinking the performance wouldn't be that drastic. WRONG. Totally lost traction and control going around a curve. The power is unbelievable. Plus idled smoother than ever. Bob is truly a perfectionist. I got daily photo updates and invited to drop by at any time. There are no shortcuts. He says and I truly believe it that the compression is up to  12 to 1. E mail him and you will get all the info you will ever need. You have to get used to using less throttle for amazing roll offs. I could go on and on, but contact attic rat. He is the real deal. Jules Yatzkan     Oh yeah does a beautiful desmog

Did you dyno before the mods and between engine mods and exhaust change?   police

I do indeed eat a lot of vegetables, but strongly prefer to have them preprocessed by a bovine host.

+1 !

I know Willow remembers this!  It's a Texas steak cookout.  This is round 2 as most people are already eating the steaks they brought to the party.

Didn't think you guys were vegan's, but nowadays you have to cover all the bases. Won't be doing a dyno on valk. My Butt says I have gained alot of power and quick response to the throttle. Will take some time to adjust my driving style. The more I read about you guys that have the time and guts to dive into these bikes the more I am glad there are guys like Bob to do it for me. I have never kept a bike more than a few years, but can't for the life of me find anything better than a Valkyrie. Will probably have to leave it in my will

my family is irish, they believe you get all the veggies you need by the cow eating them and leaving the benifits in their rib eyes. so all you need to round out your diet is taters and beans.

Without a pre-mod(s) baseline for hp & torque, any post-mod dyno results don't mean as much and they could have.

It would be great if someone would establish their baseline, do the mods, do another dyno run, and post those results.
