I'm pretty new to the site so maybe this has been covered many times but I found an accsesary (sp?) jack behind the right side cover on my Interstate. I hooked up a male/male (heavy duty) chord, ran it under the seat and gas tank straight into my I-Pod. I have the I-Pod mounted on my risers with simple valcro. Turn your volume all the way up on the I-Pod and you control the volume w/ the radio volume button. Again, I apologize if this is old news but it's so easy and I didn't want anyone else to go with out their favorite tunes like I did for 11 years!

Well, it is kinda old news, but, glad you found it. Not EVERYONE knows it's there, and maybe you will help someone else that is unaware. I assume you have an Interstate. And, welcome to the site. Use the search at the top of the page for any and all questions you might come up with, and ask about what you can't find. There are a boatload of fine Valk Mechanics that hang out here. cooldude

I too had done it this way for many years and enjoyed it, but just last spring I purchased a unit off of ebay that powers your iPod while you listen to it. I plugged the power into the aux power under the right side cover and ran all the wires into the trunk so I no longer have to worry about it getting rained on or stolen while I leave the bike for a quick second. The player stays in the trunk and you would never know its there. You can control the iPod with a wireless infer red controler I put on the handlebars. The whole thing was less than $100. I think it was called "buy ijet". If anyone wants any further info let me know.
